David and Emmalee Browne

David and Emmalee have been a team for 12 years now. Along with our three chidren our racehorse training business is very family orientated. Both David and Emmalee ride trackwork and do the breaking in of racehorses.
Emmalee has grown up with horses all her life. Emmalee started off in showjumping competing nationally and internationally before switching attention to horse racing. What started off as before school work riding at the track eventually paved the way for Emmalee to travel to both Australia and SIngapore working with thoroughbreds. Success came as a racehorse trainer initially with the very talented Group One winner Leica Guv who is so special he still is owned by the family and is living out his life on David's Grandmothers farm.
David also grew up around horses but mainly focused on polo. Having played nationally successfully, David then travelled to England for a number of seasons before returning home to work on his family farm. He has a very good grounding in horse racing as his Grandparents are the Late Kenny Browne and Ann Browne. Both are renowned jumps horse trainers and we are lucky to have Ann's wealth of experience and hill property available to us.

Jeff McVean
Jeff McVean is a three time Olympian Showjumper before he turned his hand at horse racing.

Originally from Australia, Jeff competed in Europe for 15 years and was in the World top Ten showjumpers before relocating to New Zealand. With the experience and horsemanship gained from his experiences, he soon tasted success at the highest level in horse racing. Group One, Two and Three racehorse winners have been trained by Jeff and he has enjoyed the association with some top gallopers.

A wealth of experience and knowledge he is a great help to the team in programming and preparation.
